After two weeks of trial and error, starting with Isabel’s recipe, I finally returned to her original coffee leather formula—and it was a success! Sometimes, if it’s not broken, you don’t fix it, you just use it! However, I did have to experiment along the way. Unfortunately, I had to use a synthetic, water-based white color and a transparent spray lacquer to ensure durability. I’m still new to working with biomaterials, but I’m happy with the outcome! Next time, I’ll definitely try using natural shellac instead.
